Digging Potatoes

One day, I went to my grandparents to help harvest potatoes. We harvested more than 100 potatoes. There were still more. There were brown ones, purple ones and yellow ones. The brown and purple ones we spent all day harvesting. We didn't have enough time to get all of the yellow ones.

First we pulled out the dead vines. Then we dug up the potatoes because the soil was nice and soft because the day before it rained. We found a potato that was five potatoes all connected together. I have never seen a potato so big. It was the size of a soccer ball.

Casey the Walker

Casey is my baby brother. He is one year old. Casey can throw balls. Sometimes my Mom tells him to give the phone to me and he walks across the room and gives the phone to me. He is really cute. All the boys in the family have curly hair.

Best Friends

I have two best friends. Their names are Caleb and Maretta. I met Maretta before I was born and I met Caleb when I was five months old. With Caleb, I love to play mystery games in Caleb's treehouse, play legos and read comic books together. With Maretta I like to go on adventures like go hiking on Powell Butte, go up to the mountain, go on bike rides, go to Sauvie Island and do a lot of art. I have other friends too but these I've had the longest. It's very easy to be with them. They're fun.

The Four Day Three Night Backpacking Trip

I went on this really cool backpacking trip with my Dad, brother and my Grandpa to Twin Lakes on the other side of Mt. Hood. When we got on the trail, it was a little hilly but the farther we hiked, the steeper it got. I found a very nice walking stick leaning against a tree at the top of the trail. My Dad said it was made of Madrone. Then we hiked down the other side of the mountain to lower Twin Lake. We set-up at the first campsite we saw then my Dad hiked around the lake to see if he could find a better campsite. He did. On the second day of the trip, My Dad and I walked only on logs a long ways up to the hiking trail. We also hiked up to Upper twin lakes on the 3rd day. We went swimming a lot. On the other side of the lake, there was a rope swing. You would grab the rope and swing out over the water and let go. The water was really cold. We tried fishing but we didn't catch any fish but we did see a bunch of fish. We hiked around the lake. It was really cool. At the end of the lake there weren't many campsites and the ground was wet and there were tons of mosquitoes. On the very last day we ate the rest of the marshmallows then we hiked back. My brother barely made it. He was pooped! Once we got back to the car, everything turned out good. We got ice cream on the way home.
